Deviled Eggs

Every time I scroll through my camera roll and see this picture I think about the one time I made 36 deviled eggs… just for myself… and ate them all. They were tasty and I hate sharing deviled eggs but no one should eat that many eggs at once… that was a BAD idea!

Yield: 36 deviled eggs

PREP IT!

  • 18 large Eggs, soft boiled or hard boiled

  • 1 teaspoon Taste Tutor Smoked 101

  • ½ teaspoon Taste Tutor Gullah Seasoning

  • ¾ tablespoon Pimentos, diced

  • ¾ tablespoon Pickled Red Onion or Red Onions, fresh, diced

  • 2/3 cup Mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard

  • 2¼ tablespoons Sweet Relish

  • 10 cloves Garlic, roasted, diced

  • 1 stalk Celery, diced small

  • 6 slices Bacon, chopped

  • 1 Green Onion, large, sliced thin

  • For garnish Paprika, ground

MAKE IT!

  1. In a large pot, place 18 eggs and fill with cold water until eggs are covered. Bring water to a boil. Once boiling, turn off heat and let eggs sit in hot water; 8 minutes for soft boiled and 11 minutes for hard boiled.

  2. Peel eggs and cut in half. Remove yolks and set aside in a bowl. Cool egg whites and egg yolks in the refrigerator.

  3. While eggs are coming to a boil, cook bacon by laying flat on a baking sheet and baking until slightly crispy in a 365F oven. Chop into large pieces (at least 36) allow to cool. Set aside.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine Taste Tutor Smoked 101, pimentos, red onions, mayonnaise, mustard, relish, garlic, and celery together, stirring gently. Gently fold in egg yolks and refrigerate.

  5. Scoop yolk filling into a ziploc bag or piping bag. Pipe a little bit of the filling into each egg white. Garnish with a piece of bacon, some green onion, and paprika.

  6. Serve chilled and enjoy a responsible number at a time!

Tip: Be sure to properly refrigerate the deviled eggs and when you serve it at a party, please keep it stored on ice and don’t leave it out at room temperature. It should be kept at less than 40F. This ensures the food is safe to eat because it is at a temperate that slows the growth of any bacteria / makes it hard for bacteria to grow. Don’t want people getting sick!

Store leftovers: in a covered container in the fridge.
